Sue Woods RIP
We are sad to mark here that another of our longstanding volunteers, Sue Woods, sadly died on the 1st November 2023.
Sue had been a volunteer with us for many years, after retiring as a well-respected Family lawyer in Harpenden. HCCC and our families were lucky to have Sue as a volunteer in supporting contact to which she brought many skills including empathy, understanding, kindness and calmness.
Two of us were able to be at her very well-attended funeral service on the 21st November at Harwood Park Crematorium. Sue was a very talented musician and singer and there was wonderful music at the ceremony as well as moving and funny tributes from her family, friends, and colleagues from both work and her choir. Many were able to gather later at the Lytton Arms to have more opportunity to talk about Sue and how much she will be missed. We are very grateful to Sue for all she did and express our condolences to Mike (her husband) and her family for their sad loss.
